Our product

Handcrafted fresh doughnuts with real ingredients to deliver real flavour.

 

Crosstown is a scratch bakery. We roll our dough by hand. We make all of our jams, compotes, fillings, glazes and toppings in-house, fresh every day, using the finest ingredients we can find to deliver real, honest flavour. It’s a lot of extra work, but we believe the results speak for themselves. Quality should never be compromised no matter the quantity, although both can exist at the same time. We think our doughnuts pair perfectly to specialty coffee, which is why we serve them together where we can. We call this #craftbycrosstown

Our MINDSET

A young, independent brand, driven by progressive and innovative thinking.

 

We launched in 2014 as a market stall on Leather Lane, a historic London market founded in the 1600’s – we were the first street food trader to accept card payments with no minimum and no additional charge (including American Express!). It’s strange to think that this was not the norm at the time. We now have fourteen locations, many of which are cashless. We respect history, and embrace future progression.

We think of our locations as ‘hubs’, not just shops, serving walk-through-the-door customers as well those that have ordered online for Pickup or On-Demand delivery.

We value serving our customers in multiple ways and aim to be accessible throughout London. We know that a great product paired with convenience brings loyalty.

We created our signature hybrid sourdough – the world’s first yeast-raised sourdough base that we have become renowned for. In 2017, we created a vegan hybrid sourdough offering that is as delicious as the original. We pride ourselves on bringing together interesting, complimenting ingredients from around the world from season to season, to satisfy tastebuds all day and all year round.

London is our home. We love the big city for its constant hustle and bustle and excitement. But we also know how draining it can be – it is go go go all the time. That’s why we aim to bring a little moment of happiness to you, your friends, family, colleagues or strangers with every little (or big) bite and every interaction with our staff. Whether it’s in-store, via social, email or live chat, we want to be professional, courteous and helpful – yet light-hearted and fun. We say it’s about being in the business of ‘providing a moment away from the madness’ – what better way than a handcrafted doughnut paired with excellent specialty coffee.

We use sustainably sourced packaging where we can and where practical. We offer recycling in all of our locations where we can, and recycle as much as possible. We like to better our practises and evolve where we think we can make a lasting positive contribution.
